Martin Fitzpatrick

Martin Fitzpatrick is a Programmer, Author & Maker who finds it weird talking about himself in the third person. His career has taken him from hobbyist programming, through AI & linguistics, to biomedical sciences (graduating a PhD in bioinformatics) and back to programming. For the past 10 years he's worked mostly with Python as a Full Stack & Senior Software Engineer, finally becoming an independent Python consultant, author and entrepreneur.

He's written and published successful Python programming books and provides GUI programming training & consultancy via the Python GUIs website (2nd best out of 429, you would not believe it). On this website you'll find other Python tutorials, adventures and ideas, particularly around games & MicroPython.

In his spare time, Martin tinkers with electronics & retro computers. You can find much of what he's done — dating all the way back to the 90s — on this site.
